san jose police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash. if this happened just before 6 last night in the area of south white road and quincy ave. police arrived to find a man who was hit by a vehicle and that the driver fled from the scene. the man later died at the hospital. police are looking for a dark colored suv with possible damage from the crash. >> a yearlong battle over the oakland police department federal takeover has ended. oakland mayor jean quan and police chief howard jordan have announced the police department will not be subject to a federal court appointed receivership. instead, all
